It is made of a triple composite uni-fiber that is both strong and light.  Cleverly named after a discharge of energy that creates an arc, the marketing has been quite extensive.  They have a Voltaeus website, a contest which involes fishing with the rods (click logo at top, or see details below) and even mentioned a video game for the Xbox.
