SHIMANO STRADIC CL4

Part of the reason we love Shimano, is the fact that they stand the test of time and saltwater. We know this because we repair reels daily and are able to see how all reels hold up. Shimano is always the leader.

Stradic CI4 is the ultimate in lightweight reels designed for the ultra-finesse angler using lightweight fluorocarbon, braided or monofilament lines. This real is geared toward drop-shotting, shaky heads, and small texas rigs. The CL4 material makes the reel very lightweight and adds to it's overall sensitivity. The CL4 makes the reel far more durable as well. Some of the specifications are:

6.2 ounces (1000) 7.0 ounces (2500)
6 + 1 S-ARB bearings
7 pounds max drag (1000) 15 max drag (2500)
Lightweight CI4 Carbon based frame, side plate and rotor
Paladin Gearing
Propulsion Line Management (Spool, one piece bail wire, Aero Wrap II, S Arm cam, redesigned bail trip, Power Roller III)
Machined aluminum handle with lightweight EVA grip
Water Proof Drag
Direct Drive handle (threads directly into the main gear)

The CL4 is quite a reel. The only complaint I have is the fact that I was building my Gloomis rod with purple trim. Now, I suppose I will need to go with red.

Happy fishing, Keri
